FIR Names TMC Workers; Saffron Party Alleges ‘Cop Inaction’. The state BJP is likely to move Calcutta high court against the Kolkata Police’s alleged laxity to apprehend the offenders in an incident in KMC’s ward 108 on Sunday that left three BJP workers injured. Anandapur police’s refusal to act spurred top BJP leaders, including Babul Supriyo, S S Ahluwalia and Sidharth Nath Singh, to rush to the survivor’s Dakshin Para home and reprimand OC Debjit Bhattacharya. The FIR names nine Trinamool Congress supporters. Senior BJP leaders, who were part of an anti-terror rally that started from the party headquarters and culminated in a meeting at Esplanade, reached the spot from there, State BJP president Rahul Sinha went with them.
